SafeTracks GPS has been in the Personal Monitoring industry for just over nine years. Today’s society lives in a somewhat reactive mindset when it comes to autistic children wandering. SafeTracks™ understands that children who live with development disorders are prone to wandering which creates an enormous amount of stress within families and their communities putting their safety at risk. Today, 1 in 68 adolescents are diagnosed with autism. Each year, more than 250,000 children wander away from family members, this number is rising exponentially. Researchers want to bring their focus towards preventing unexpected wandering and is striving to better understand the negative impact it holds on our communities.
Cohen’s Medical Center
The Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York is now conducting a study involving how wandering takes a toll on family members. SafeTracks™ mission is ensuring that our loved ones are safe while providing children with independence and giving their primary caregiver/family member a peace of mind.
